We were inspired by Athena, the goddess of wisdom, and her pursuit of knowledge. Her symbol is the owl, so an owl's wing cuts through the A in our logo. It is also a fun nod to our founder's last name, Wisely.
The other half of the name is ion, one of the small, foundational components of chemistry. Together they say what we want to build: the foundation for the future of manufacturing, from chemicals to every other kind.
